Project description
The project aimed to extend the Upper Black Forest Homeland Trail into a strategic interpretive and museums-oriented concept with additional potential for regional expansion. A new type of visitor information system, which gears the presentation of information to different age groups and levels of interest, will open up a range of worlds along the homeland trail to visitors.
Prior to applying for funding, initial ideas for the homeland trail were discussed with Transinterpret, including basic principles for effectively transmitting a wide range of themes to a varied audience. A strategic concept was set to be developed, employing different media and working closely with MILES.
Early advisory sessions showed that more funds would be required for the professional planning and implementation of the project than initially anticipated.
Current state of the project
An application for funding was to be submitted in spring 2006. Due to financial problems it has had to be delayed.
